Was wondering if there will be a Royal Marines Beating Retreat at Horse Guards in 2012, the normal 3 year interval, or, because of the Olympic Games being held in London, one year earlier in 2011?

Hi Ranger, there is nothing planned at the moment however, like all plans, things can change at short notice. If there are any dates announced, we will put them on the main website as soon as they are known.

Now that's a cracking picture of Massed Bands. What year was that taken..?? I'm assuming last Horseguards..???

Should be fun to watch The Bands weave their way through all those ugly beach volleyball contestants...

It was 2009 Rab. Looks a bit 'shopped' to me…. And better than when we tried to carry out the 10 to 20 across manouevre!
