Does anyone from Chatham Band circa 69/71 time remember a certain individual with a strong cockney accent and black-rimmed glasses performing the above ritual dance, usually at the drop of hat, followed by his trousers? _________________ Phil 'wasp swatter' Howarth

This guy was quite short if I remember him right. The Dance of the Flaming Arseholes (TDFA) involved him baring his buttocks upon which, on either cheek he had a letter tattooed: 'W' - so that (in his mind anyway) when he bent over double the word WOW was formed! He would then proceed to light a newspaper taper, stick it up the said orifice and dance around with what sounded like red indian war whoops.
I don't know about well-dressed - that isn't what has stayed in my memory about him lol! _________________ Phil 'wasp swatter' Howarth

He had numerous tatoos on his ar$e including the W's. Obviously not very clear in this piccy but he was well known for his This Old Hat Of Mine routine. _________________ ♫♫ Keep Smiling ♫♫

Albert had absolutely no scruples did he? He would perform whenever wherever - despite myself I have been chuckling almost non-stop for the past hour or so remembering this guy... _________________ Phil 'wasp swatter' Howarth

Haven't seen him for a while but he was always a regular at reunions/All Stars.
Was there an Albert Hill and an Albert Hall (not the RAH) or was Albert Hall Albert Hill's obvious nickname? (Try sayind this sentence when you're pi$$ed. ) _________________ ♫♫ Keep Smiling ♫♫

I think it was Albert Hill now you mention it. Dunno if there was a separate Albert Hall? _________________ Phil 'wasp swatter' Howarth

Just looked through an All Stars list and confirmed there is an Albert Hall, Bass Player while Albert Hill, (in the piccy) was a trombonist. _________________ ♫♫ Keep Smiling ♫♫

reunions weren't the same without Albert Hill doing this old hat.... I believe he passed on some time ago.
Albert Hall is a bass player in the RMA band, and ex Bandmaster... he was always referred to as "Abstract Hall", which could not be further from the truth... a good musician and a gentelman. _________________ Well & truly Lanimered!
