Which year was it that band members family could board the yaght whilst in Portsmouth Harbour, must have been a navy days.... I remeber it because I couldn't go, my brother was old enough to go, so I must have been around 6, so were talking about 78' or 79'?
I always envyed my brother for that _________________ Once a Marine's Daughter always a Marines Daughter |

Sorry, I was never a Yottie so don't know, it was also a year or 2 before I joined. I know in later years, Yotties were allowed to take guests on whenever the Yacht was in Portsmouth. _________________ http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk

Seem to remember a 'sea day' where my Mum & Dad came aboard for the day - we sailed around the Solent for a bit then had a few bevvies - but a good day out and they were very proud....'84 or '86/'87 at a guess. _________________ Rich Austin 2/81
