I just returned from a short <and sad> trip to Seattle to help my "childhood sweetie" recover from the death of her husband.  He was a cop, who <sadly> had an alcohol problem and ended up "swallowing his piece".

As good as it was to see her...the circumstances left too much pain on all accounts.  I do believe she will with time recover from this.

Sorry to hear your news.

Not a nice way to go....very messy.

Pass on my condolences to your childhood sweetheart.

Thanks for the reply.  I will be keeping tabs on her for a while...plus my brother who lives near her will also be looking out for her.

Sorry to hear the news of your "childhood sweetie" I hope that time will heal the wound and there will be happier times ahead.
