Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on auditioning for Percussion? I am currently Grade 8 on drum kit and i am studying for Grade 5 on tuned percussion for december and then Grade 8 next summer. Would the panel prefer me doing Drum kit, Tuned percussion or both? and any tips as to what pieces to play?

Thanks! Joe

Errrr, you can't just be a kit player, percussionists are all tuned percussionists

well i've played in brass bands as a percussionist for many years, playing both kit and tuned.
Just didn't know if they'd want me to play both at the audition or not.
