If and when he comes back he'll have to tell us all which he is more frightned of - me, or a pocket full of worms.

I know the answer...

Great responses, thanks guys
more info follows

Joined 2/72 troop with Dick Lawless Bomber Mills Mac Magil to name the less reputable. Was banished to BRNC where I learned to drink, skipper boats, fish & very little else. Did a short spell at Raliegh during the dark times (Brian Posmer Jock Patterson & Taff Pierce r.i.p)
Then to Staff band 2 Tornaments. Yes, I ,along with 2 other Sgts  T.O & A. W.( I was local acting) ran the bar Off Warwick Hall, 1981 me thinks. Did 1 Horse Guards. Left in 1983.
Yes its true about the Wren officer. Keep guessing about the worms ( all in good time)

An example (as if you need one) of RMBS black humour: Pete Pendlebury came to BRNC on loan for a term. When asked why did he want to leave Raleigh he said (and I quote), "After Patterson, Pierce & Postma what chance do I stand with 2 P's in my name?"

RIP you 3 - and Pete I know you're doing well after posting pics in here.

As for the WREN officer (Boy, she sure looked fine in full sail at the front of the march-on every morning at colours! ) and the worms - I absolutely know they're both true dits. So get 'em out Baker, let's see what your memory's like after all this time...

Errol old chap how the devil are you?
Can you remember all those hours we spent playing RISK? World domination was our aim.
That was before Staff buglers moved from east to north and Ginge Mansbridge took your place.
Fond memories.
Still have the album cover with your piccie on it on my mantle piece. Has kept generations  of kids away from the fire.
16 bars 6/8 mate
