When registering please ensure that you enter a correct email address so that the account activation email is delivered. For those 'casual browsers' of the forum who are not registered there are certain areas that you are not able to see and areas that you won't be able to access. If you choose to register, and are ex or serving RM Band Service, please let me know via PM that you were or are serving in the Band Service with your true identity (which will remain confidential should you wish) and you will be added to any usergroups applicable to your status.
When you enter your email address it is not possible for it to be 'harvested' by spam bots and then spam emails sent to you via the forum to your registered email address. Your email address is encrypted into a database within the PHP code that the forum runs on. Nobody is able to find your email address by browsing the forum and only registered users have the capacity to email each other via the forum by using the email button
