Sad to report that I have today received the sad news that B/SGT Geoff Walton has gone to the great and good RMB in the sky. I am not sure how many on the forum will remember Geoff, but I certainly can he was a very likeable chap. He pased away in his home town of Deal, my condolences to all of his family and those in our family that knew him. His funeral is on Monday 24th September at Barham.

Sad news, I know the name but can't think why; perhaps he was the stuff of coffee boat legend!
Rest in peace Geoff

Sad to hear of the passing of Geoff Walton, he was one of my destructors in the wing, late 50s, a true gent. In reply to Joe 90, Alec I do not remember him at Chatham in my time there, he may have been there with you and the others in the section you where there before me, but that is another story. Geoff somewhere in his service lost the top of two of his fingures, if I recall rightly silly bugger left them in the way of a big gun breach, ouch. My sincere condolences to all members of his family and to all those members of the wider family that is and always will be the RMB. Geoff my old friend Rest in Peace.
