Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....

The fool mostly, but I have been known to play pots and pans very badly. And no I'm not being self-deprecating, just truthful!

Ahem...Point of order here please...

Please continue rattling your pans, but leave the pots to the 'Rotund' section....

Well I was being half truthful Rab, flying drumsticks and things falling off stage have cause me to notch up three confirmed 'hits' though not 'kills' on brass instruments. If only it weren't true...

Well, er, since you ask, percussion actually... there, that wasn't too humorous was it?

Hey FF, look at the reply from Hey Nonny, there's a clue in there somewhere

Ok, so I missed a big one. I must dust down the "Percussionists book of excuses" circa 1982 sometime. I'm losing my touch.

(It came in very handy against TF in the dog end days).

So, Hey nonny, we could do with our own room, and fight back against the blowers of twisted metal !

Don't let Hornblower see your remark about TF.

He appears to be on some sort of 'Crusade' to get the Pope to Cannonise TF, PW, DDW, etc, etc and gain good publicity for them.

He's the Band Service equivalent of Max Clifford.

You can add DD, MJ and even CB to that list Bob.

I didn't think I'd seen the light, but it does at least give me a purpose!

Halleooooooyah - praise the Lord!

Halleooooooyah - praise the Lord! And Pass the Ammunition.........

Stu,

DD...... I have worked out who DD is. :smt027

MJ..... Was MJ a Clarinet/Violin (sometimes played the piano) SNCO who always wore his trousers up around his chest?

CB...... CB? I can think of one CB who was a Cpl burglar, not sure if this is the one you mean.

Give a clue that only those in the know can work out.

I'll get in touch with the man himself (Graham Hitchens) and see if he has vacancies in his God Squad, for when you retire from your present post.

A quote for you......Jeremiah (ch. XIII, v. 23)

A quote for all you others....I Corinthians (ch. XIII, v. 1)

First back with an answer to these two wins a prize.

Hey Stuey, If you are thinking of remotely being nice to the CB I think it might be, then, I will have to excommunicate you !!!!!

The only canon you will get has two "n" s in it and will be fired up somewhere painful !!!!

Have you two never heard of the act of forgiveness?

These people were blind and did not know their sins - they merely did what was done unto them.

It was THE WAY.

There was no other WAY.

Start being nice to people and where will it ever end?

There was streed cred to think of - start going weak and the bad boys would be on you before you knew it, taking advantage and not cleaning their shiny bits 'n bobs.

We bad boys needed to be kept in our place - we deserved all the crap we had to take from the righteous ones.

How would we learn THE RIGHT WAY if is was not rammed down our throats at every single opportunity?

No - Bob and Ffoggy (dear chaps), we were the ones that needed to be kept in line and I forgive those righteous people for the way they operated, their Modus Operandi was clearly the BEST WAY to ensure that anyone with a bit of spirit, spunk or character did not attempt to overshadow their greatness.

Thank the Lord for egos bigger than mine - and the rank that gave it to them. They deserved me.

Without people like me, they would have been shouting at each other! And we could never have that type of anarchic behaviour now, could we?

(Bob, couldn't be arsed to look up your quotes and in any case I don't got a Bible , and CB has been thoroughly discussed (dissed! ) in these hallowed threads. Find him and you find your person.)

But be careful, Dan doesn't take kindly to open dissing in here and he may SHOUT AT YOU...
