Are you sure about your posting on 25 August

I seen to remember 'High School Cadets' being one of the first marches, if not 'the' first march, we (by we, I mean 3/69) played in the Junior Band at that time.

I'm as sure about it as I'm sure about anything in my advanced years.

That'll be a resounding 'no' then.

You've sussed me - I made the whole thing up on the (golden) spur of the moment.

In reality, it may not have been the very first march, but I certainly do remember it as being one of them.

You're getting as bad as botty in calling my faded memory into question.

Just go with it and stop pointing out my inconsistencies - I'm doing my best....

(And - it was 1970 for crying out loud. How can ANYBODY remember such bloody trivia )

Go on - now call my memory into question again and tell me it was 1969.

(Is this a 5 minute argument or the full half hour?)

Some of our first term's marches in Jnr band were Men of Music, Warship, Semper Fid, Jollies plus a few more the grey matter has erased!

March of the Pacemakers was a particularly rousing March too.
