Hi. Currently working as social worker with delinquent children who have behavioural problems....... not much difference there then!!!!!! Enjoy the banter on this site and thought i would contribute. I do not see any Fleet band IYM evident but then they always were a shady bunch!!. Good to see many old friends... if a former Drum Major can have any friends!!!! Looking forward to going to the SHarps top table at CTCRM in two weeks.... no doubt there will be some PT somewhere during the course of the day!!.
Friends feel free to email me....... enemies can come round and get troffed by my pack of Jack Russells all aptly named after ex or serving Buglers. ie Plummer, Lawton. Griff etc.

best regards
Dan Archer

Dan (may I be so bold)

Good to see you are still into Jack Russells. My old fella I got from Steve Vintners dad lived with us for 18 years.

Do you still have the burn scars from the BBQ after the changing of the guard gig at Windsor Castle ? I think it was the bottle of NIGHT NURSE in the punch that gave it the edge!!

Speak soon

Hiya Big Andy.......yes still into Jack Russells my old boy Buster also from Pete Vintner died aged 17. Buster was second litter to yours. Fantastic friend and companion I still miss him.

Thanks Andy for bringing up the Windsor Garden Party BBQ. The physical pain and scars have gone but the mental scars will be with me for ever. I am still in therapy and cannot attend any BBQ where sausages are present. Whilst working in the Gulf I managed to get a Fatwa placed on Nick Jones!!!!! So beware Jonesy theres a hard up Arab out there somewhere with a red hot carbonised sausage searching for you!!!!

Yes you are correct on the night nurse too. John Hillier and I made a fantastic Rum, Malibu and several other spirit Cocktail in a galley pot which was a lovely creamy colour that mysteriously turned green during the afternoon. Someone had dumped a large bottle of Night Nurse in it...... No problem sleeping that night then!!!!!! Fantastic Band eh Andy particularly when led by Ted and Glo.. or was it Glo and Ted!!! Great times Great band... fantastic blokes. Cat 4s were ok too!!!
Best regards
Dan

Hello Dan. Great to know there's still someone as old as me out there who can still manage to use at least two fingers on the dot com machine. Hope all's well with you and your's. I've got a crackin photo of you coaching Geordie Rowell in the art of donkey riding at Las Palmas in 1973. (Remember that wee tug boat we did the Cat4 on?) I think it was called the QE2 or something. Get in touch anytime mate...RAB

Hi Dan, Dan, the sausage man !!!

After catching up on this story all over the site, it is only fair to buzz you and say hello (inbetween rolling around on the floor laughing)

And to think I organised that garden party with Hawaaian music and loud shirts.

So why did we end up naked sumo wrestling by the holly bush !!!

I bumped in to John Hillier recently, in the infant school playground (nothings changed there then), and forgot to mention the End of Windsor duties soiree.

I think we should have our own thread on this famous day. you can start it off................call it....... "sausages and Night Nurse" !!!

Regards Mark bids
