| Hello all, I have just discovered this site (thanks to Ginge Deary)and look foreward to reading the postings. I left the Band Service in Jan 1973 my last draft being Chatham. After a couple of indifferent jobs I joined, in 1977,British Airways as a store keeper(jack dusty) at the same time joining BA Brass band with whom I played with until 1989. In 1985 I was asked to join the Central Band of the Royal British Legion and at this time I am still playing with them. I finally got caught in 1999 and married Pam who is also a "muso". I have now retired from BA but am still active musically both playing and conducting. It would be nice to hear from any one who knew me either as Paul or Fuji Collett |

Hello and welcome Paul.. Your name rings a bell, but the old memory cells are wearing down. I was at Chatham for a short spell in 69/70, but never having really been sober during that time, it's all a bit of a drizzly memory..
Welcome to the Forum mate.. Lots of old Dogends in here.. _________________ 'Never moon a werewolf'. |

Seems like I'm the first to actually remember you then Paul!!
I doubt you'll remember me though, I was straight out of the box with Bob Richardson & Geoff Truss and ensconced into Hawke block attic with the lads joining from Victorious and Eagle. Alick Harwood, Jack Frost, Twig Tray et al...
Stuart Thorn's the name and I was a very bad horn player (hmm, maybe just bad would have done there!)
Get yer dits out Paul, I know you'll have many!! _________________ ITMA! |

Hiya Paul,
I too remember you from Chatham (HMS Pembroke).
I joined the band (DOM: Pete Sumner) in 1972.
Welcome to the site
