Hi all, Its Mick's daughter here.  Just to let you know that Dad is getting a bit better.  Still in ITU but they are hoping to move him to the ward tomorrow.  He looks like he has been run over by a bus but he is still managing to annoy the nurses with his language!!

I am sure he will be back on here once he is home safe and sound.

Thanks for the update Sarah.
Give Mick all our good wishes from the RMBS Forum Crowd.

Well said Billy

I know they say that 'no news is good news' but does anyone have an update on 'Tuskerman?'

Hi there, latest news is Mick is still in hospital, but now out of ICU and in a ward.  All drain and drips removed, except for his 'meals on wheels'. If all goes according to plan, he should be home next week, heaven help us all!!

Visited Mick in Hospital the other day and have spoken to Cherry and the good news is that every thing is going well and with a bit of luck he might be allowed to go home Wednesday. He is still having problems eating and swallowing but appears quite well otherwise.
Iam sure you would all like to join me and wish him a speedy recovery.

Mick has come out of hospital and is now convalescing at home.
Still can't eat so they have sent him home with a liquid diet to survive on.

Thank you all for you best wishes over tha past couple of weeks.  This convalescence lark is boring, but it has to be done.  The surgeons were brills, they had me in stitches I was a bit cut up about it but they just carried on. Had to knock the booze and fags on the head due to medication, maybe nows the time Ill try my hardest. Now waiting for results of tests to see if any more treatment is req.Get well soon Bomber mate,as they say s***t happens degree of depth varies.Right, made me new years res early,Spurs to go down and take that B*s***d Redknapp wiv em.Come on you blues.

Nice to see you back Mick. I recently quit the tabs with the help of ZYBAN Tablets. They take away the craving but you still need willpower. Another tablet is Champix (spelling?) and it works in a similar way... the way I see it is anything that can help is a bonus. I'm 6 months stopped and hope to remain stopped for good this time.  Best of luck to you in the stopping, you should be able to afford a season ticket to see your beloved Pompey if you stop the smokes and hooch for a couple of years... if you stop for a month you'll be able to afford a season ticket to Spurs!

Stay on the road to recovery and when you get there you'll feel a hell of a lot better I hope...
