Just heard the MFM 2008 CD, and... WOW...!!!!  Awesome.

I have to say the rendition of Pandora is simply mustard. Sorry, don't know the soloist's name, but he/she is a bit special. The whole CD demonstrates the standard required in the Band Service nowadays, and I have to say I play it with pride....  


(Oh c'mon Rab, yer going soft and serious in yer middle age   )

I hope GH doen't read this Joss. He seems to be under the impression that EVERYTHING's changed in the modern Band Service...  

My last post was a hurried one, and I really should have complimented ALL the soloists, as well as you drunken louts trying to keep up with them.  The Xylophone soloist was obviously cheating. (is he..oops/she an octopus by any chance?) The only track I tend to skip past is West Side Story, but that's only a personal view..  

Even LOTOW is done to perfection....

The only track I tend to skip past is West Side Story,
I dont like that  one either Rab !!
    In fact i would like to see a full military music festival(but there again that is my choice )also

I have to say out of them all I like west side story the most. But they are all great tunes and shows why the bands of H.M Royal Marines has to be one of the best in the world.
