My father-in-law, Jeremy Ballard, wants to get in touch with any people who served with him in the late 1950's. What is the easiest way to track down fellow bandsmen of that era?
I have looked at and join forcesreunited, but there is a lack of HMY Britannia crew.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

You could try the unofficial site......however you will have to pay to go in.
http://www.exroyalmarinesbandsmen.net/

You will probably get the results you need on this official site, which of course is free, as we believe that bringing together the family of the RMB is priceless.
Just wait and keep looking as our members are from all eras of the Band Service and word gets about quite quickly within the RMB network. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice. One person that he did serve with was George Simpson who has an article in the "Where are they now?" section. Does anyone know George or how I can contact him.

Hi Jeremy,

I have seen George Simpson in town here in Sunny Deal recently. I know he's still around here. Next time I see him, I'll give him the nod to let him know you are looking for him.

Hi Jeremy

As Wolfy says George is well and lives in Deal. I spoke to Him about a week ago so I will keep my eyes out for Him as well.

Greetings, re Jeremy Ballard, I do not think Mr Geo Simpson was a member of the Pompy band during Jeremy.s time, I joined the band in 1957, and remember all the names who served with me at that time,,,,Max

Well done Max. It's always good to have a true elder statesman amongst us. Knowledge and experience is invaluable.

I think Townsergeant was referring to the post by Jeremy Ballard, not your post Max.
