Hi Kev. I understand the Met Police is a large outfit, but did you ever have the fortune to meet up with another ex Bandy. One George "Jock" Hobbs? If so have you any contact details for him. Cheers.

Nope, sorry Opps .. the name doesn't ring any bells ..

Do you know where in the Met he served & when ? .. I was in the "Job" from Oct 1973 (straight from the Corps) to Oct 2003 .. mainly in SW London,W London & some time in "Specialist" branches at the Yard & elsewhere ..

You're quite right it is a big outfit .. there are 28,000 Police Officers alone & gawd only knows how many civvie support staff ...

Cheers,

Kev.

Cheers Kev. I think George went in about the mid 80's he was part of the group protecting the Queen Mum at one stage, but I don't know what happened to him from the mid 90's onwards. Cheers anyway.

Many thanks lads ...

Only a "Yellowbelly" by location .. originally a Leeds "loiner" & former member of Leeds Marine Cadets .. still a genuine Yorkie at heart ...

Cheers,

Kev.

Cheers,

Kev.

Hi BB, the last time I saw Jock Hobbs was over 10 years ago at the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan. I believe he was going to pound the streets somewhere in NW Scotland.
JPIG might be able to help you out here as he worked in that area for a while.
