Band Colour Sergeant Gary Standeven (Academic Instructor at the Higher Training Department at the Royal Marines School of Music) has signed up to participate in the BHF (British Heart Foundation) London to Brighton Bike Ride 2007.
Check out his sponsorship page here
A message from Gary is as follows:
I am fundraising for the BHF to help beat heart disease and urgently need your help.
Every year, thousands of people die prematurely from heart disease. Sadly, I lost my Father, Father in Law and Grandfather to this disease. It remains the UK's single biggest killer and for the increasing number who survive, life can be frightening and hard.
The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity. Every day they save lives, through pioneering research, providing vital information to help people reduce their own heart health risks, campaigning for change and supporting and caring for heart patients.
You can see my progress in raising vital funds, and even forward my page to other people you know to help the BHF raise even more money and save more lives.
Thank you for your support!
Gary Standeven
PS If you can please do not forget to Gift Aid your donation if you are a UK taxpayer. It does not cost you any more, but it will make your donation worth 28p more for each £1 you donate.
Thank you,
The British Heart Foundation.
