I was on my hols, skiing en France, with a group of gents that I have holidayed with for the past 10 years. One of the characters is a recently retired Lt Commander (Phil).
We were in a local French bar telling tales of daring do and the days exagerated exploits, when the loudest guffaw was heard as a group of three quite obvious pongo ruperts walked in.
Decked in obligatory neckerciefs and flat, post skiing, caps.....they were heard to say," Shall we have a jug of Pimms before the ladies join us?" It became apparent from our eaves dropping that they were Cavalry. Phil entered into he conversation and eloquently took the pi$$ without them really being any the wiser. He went on about the senior Service etc and how they should be getting the wets in, as after all they were, "DONKEY WALLOPERS!" Well I fell about!!!!
