Whatever happened to Kev Baker?!

Hi, I've known yer man for over 20 years and when I was in the Navy used to spend weekends at Northolt getting him drunk but time's fragmented my social life and I'm trying to find this great chap who was like a big brother to me. Last known being a civvy somewhere in Plymouth, I think he was studying law (not sure). I'd love to hear from him or anyone who can tell me where he is - or just that he's ok.
If you're out there, Mr Baker, do get in touch. My mum's regrouted her bathroom and I just KNOW she'd love you to assess her worksmanship!

Hi PL and welcome!

Have to say I don't know yer man, though there probably will be someone in here who does - but, there seems to be some type of hidden message in your post....

Good luck

Hello Pennylegs,
Kev is in the Torpoint area and is now teaching the banjo part time and being a house husband!
I was with Kev and Shuggie at Northolt at that time..... Many moons ago.

PS I believe he is on facebook

Hi PennyLegs, I was Kevs Violin instructor when he was under training and also served with him in Fleet (Northolt) Kev did indeed redecorate many bathrooms in his time with the RMB, but I'm not sure the grouting he attempted would be of good quality by todays standards. As the General said, he is in the Torpoint area, but I didn't know he was teaching the Banjo? Good luck with your search.......

So you're responsible for his violin playing then Bri?
It was good to have you adults supervise us at Northolt!

Along with Shugie McGleish, Mick Davey, Pete Cox, Chris Nolan (RIP), Martin Miles, Martin Grace and Dan Cooke. As you can see I had a good bunch of lads, and some fun in the classroom.

Hi all,
I keep trying to scan through facebook for the said picture but just can't find it for some reason - I will keep trying, though. In the meantime, Baaaaaasss, if you have anything for me I'd be a grateful recipient.

Aw shucks - great work, bandies! I got him, he's prepared to undertake grouting assessment and all is well with the world.
Heroic assistance - thank you so much. You'll now be left in peace!

I'd rather be a stranger than merely strange.

Ka-chow!
bootybandy

Merely Strange!!. Being Strange is not a mere thing. It's something that has to be worked at and not just given.
