Hi Gary, I'm yer at last having got used to this dam contraption. I was privileged to have served with the old Plymouth Group Band way back in 1962. The band was barracked on the top floor of the PO/CPO accommodation in HMS Drake and bussed into Stonehouse barracks every day for work. After my stint with the old Victorious carrier in the far east tour, I returned in 65 when the renovation at Stonehouse was completed and the band had returned to brand new rooms.
At the time, 43 Commando (sadly no more) was stationed there and 41 Cdo at Bickley. I would very much like to join your merry crew okay? By the way, 63 this year and still plodding the beat nicking the bad guys. Dixon of Dock Green (who's he?) has nothing on me eh. |
