riknoc310

Hmm is that a "Labyrinth of Lurkers" then.
bootybandy

You could even make a Lexicography of Lurkers with that many..
riknoc310

Maybe you should start a "Lurkers" Offenders register.
admin

There are a lot of people who register, read and never come back. There are a lot of people who have registered and prefer to lurk as they feel that they might not be welcome for whatever reasons. Some people are really shy or unsure of what to do despite the extensive help everywhere. I know of a couple of officers who have admitted to lurking and a lot of exserving guys who, for whatever reason, prefer to lurk. I won't name and shame them but until they make a post and let me know who they are they can't get access to the countermarch... I would prefer that everyone make posts and join in, there are still many many untold dits out there!!!
Wolfy

Just what I was hoping to encourage Deli. Seems such a waste of unsung dits! Lets hope we cane entice more out of lurkdom!

Lurking

Woolmutt - I, myself, could be accused of selective 'Lurking' - in my defence ,years of self abuse has left my memory in a shocking state and half the time I come to log in Ive forgotten my password - DOH!!!!!

Lurkers of the world unite! Come out of the shadows and spin those dits, pull up a hatbox and swing that lantern!!!!

Deli, can we have a 'Lurkers Anonymous' section where we can have group discussions and talk about our various 'lurking' issues, knit yoghurt and grow our own denim??  Maybe some nice virtual camomile tea can be provided???

(I seriously think I've finally lost the plot!)
MrJpig

NO LURKERS

Hi Nick... well at least you have stood up to be counted from up there in Lurkhampton!  Great to see you are alive and kicking! I know the feeling with passwords. I have about 6 different ones for the various work related systems and the buggers keep asking me to change it every month. It doesn't get any easier as you get plder does it?

Hope things are well with you matey. Join us in our crusade to out the lurkers!!!

Cheers then all the best!!    Wooolfington Smythe Von Glutt Bucket!

Come as you were when the Lurkitania went down! (Dress Chords and Leg Aprons are optional for Bulgers! )
medrummer

Okay okay, since the ASBO now stops me lurking at netball games I will [and have] lurk less and contribute. However, you need to know as long as there is internet porn and fur lined gloves I won't be able to spend as much time as I 'd like to on our relationship.
And remember the band service is like a condom, you only get out of it what you put in!
bunky the bugler

I never log off, so I'm never asked for my password, I just move onto whatever takes my fancy

Wolfy

About 10 seconds actually John! I didn't devote an afternoon to physically counting them!! LOL Ok. So I was bored for a short while. We need to out the registered lurkers to boost the figures! You are a converted Lurker I'm sure so spread the word matey!!
Nick Jones

That I suppose would depend on if they were "Passive Lurkers" or "Lurkers with Intent"
Ginge Deary

Is 'Lurking' an arrestable offence?

At least no-one can accuse me of being good lurking.
riknoc310

It would come under Spying, so you could be shot.
Ginge Deary

Sounds (t)reasonable!
Alba58

lurking

But it would be with GOOD intent! Don't shoot please!!!!!
( never been passive in my life!!!!)

Ah now, that would be telling wouldn't it? ( and I wouldn't want you all to get big headed now!) Of course that also depends on what the comments and feedback are about...site or band? Must go lurk.........
admin

Any feedback about site, band, music, gigs...
Tony Hill

Hi just thought I'd have a quick lurk to see how everyone is and discover bandy still likes to skylurk!
Len

Alba58

Ok......... tell me , when trying to lurk at Eastney and watch and listen, and last year on the grass at School of Music................does it ALWAYS rain at the concerst in Pompey???? Or is it ME? I move 500 miles just to be closer to you guys   ...and every time I attend an outdoor concert here it's shortened cos of the bleedin weather!!!!!   :-D
Errol

Probably the latter.

Spit and polished flippers may be the order of the day Deli.
MrJpig

How did it go then? Was there a shallow end to play in? I saw the ad and felt that the picture could maybe do with an update??

Wee Mac

As it is a fee paying event, I hope it was a Cat IV ?
admin

Cat 1 I can assure you!
A good day and Bugler Cartwright was the first bugler to be presented / awarded the Prince's Badge...

I'm 100% sure, Bugler Mark Stephenson, who joined us in Stonehouse Band from training in 1983, was the 1st ?

If you can't remember, ask Wiggy.
StickyBlue

Correct Mac, I was an instructor at the time, I'm sure you are right

Errol, Were you an Instructor at that time?
admin

You are correct... 1983 was Stevo.
What I should have put  was: the only current serving bugler.
EDIT!
I once again stand corrected... Bugler Richie got the award last year! I'll just wind my neck in and try and find the pulse to put my finger on!!!
Wee Mac

It's all part of the ageing process Deli. Next, comes more hair loss and hair growth, on parts you never knew you had.

It seemed I was an instructor forever.
Wee Mac

Do the new residents of M Block, mind you hanging around their apartment every day? You will have to leave there eventually Errol !
Errol

What hacks me off most is you can't get a drink in the sgts mess anymore.
Wee Mac

I'm 3 minutes walk away from a Booty Sgts mess.
Yeah I know,.....I can't get a drink there  either!

All those little red cards in Deal and no where to go.
