Does anyone know?

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a band made up of former members of the R.M. band service? I served between 1971 & 1975 in H.M.S. Pembroke in chatham. Hope you can help.

The only example I can think of Col is the All Stars Band, but that only forms up once a year as I'm sure you know.

Now - as a former Pembroke rating meself and spanning most of your years (I joined in 72 and left in 77) why don't I remember your name?

I remember Roy Smith, but not you. (Sorry   )

I am however famed for my crap memory - what did you play, that may help me remember an oppo.

As for my name, well that's well documented elsewhere and you'll have to dive in to the threads to find it...

Of course, there's me thinking Col was a bandy and he may have been JJ who is just interested in RMBS.

What's the crack then Col? You a matelot?

I don't remember any JJ 'Groupies' in them days in Pembroke HB, do you?

I am a bit suspicious of this one..................

Could be a 'Jenny' using a nom de plume, looking for the daddy of an offspring.......???????

Just thought....

That would now be a 30something offspring!!!!!!

Mmmmm Interesting I don't know the name either andI was there at the said time, is it a bird, is it a matelot, or is it a Jenny looking for a long lost luv and father for a sprog, I plead not guilty never had a split in Pembroke, galley staff now now that is another story. Dogends what concerns me is in user name he has the words Smithy, is Colin a red herring cos apart from Roy Smith the only person I can remember with Smith in his name was the D-------readed  D-----rone of the the bone section. What you fink lads, can we force him to reveal all????

That's a first, then....!!!!!!!!!

I did say I don't think it's him as about 10 years ago, I heard that he had gone to join the great Massed Bands in the sky.

And no, I'm not psychic, only psycotic............RIGHT!
