MFM 2007

This year I was lucky and got two tickets for MFM as a present it was absolutely superb my favourite bit in the first half was KALEIDOSCOPE does anyone agree not sure about the second half it was all my favourite

Is Kaleidoscope being put on the CD if not why not

And I think a DVD / CD package would be good

I liked the bit where Trudge almost fell off his kit playing with that flippin' double bass-drum pedal on the final night.
He's almost got the hang of it!

Admin will be able to help you, but as it has been on at least a previous two MFM's in one form or another, I doubt it......

Hi Tom,
Kaleidoscope will probably not be on the recording as it is already on 'The Final Countdown' and it would be better to put some more unreleased music on the recording of the 2007 MFM.

Does that hopefully mean that D'YSEBAHN will be on the CD? Cor!

PS. Will the CD also be available for my birthday on the 29th April. Nice change if it is.

MFM 2007 SHOULD be going to print shortly after leave. Falkland Sound went before leave and should be back waiting for us to send out. Most of the artwork is done and in the proofing stage, we are waiting for the audio and track timings. The turn around for the job at the pressing plant is 2 weeks so it WON'T be ready for the 29th unless someone has been working in very mysterious ways. It is hoped that D'Ysebahn will be on the recording complete (calm down pumpey, don't hyperventilate!).

BRITISH SEA SONGS

It would be good if FANTASIA ON BRITISH SEA SONGS would be on MFM 2007 but I think its not is it? Havent got a live recording by the RM Band of it when was the last one made TRAFALGAR 200?
Pompey Rich

Wow. Just think of the effect of the buglers part on surround sound if that piece had been mixed.

I thought it was brilliant too, I haven't been to the MFM before and it was definitely worth it.

My mum was just mesmerised with the drummers especially the lad in the centre of the stage in his plastic box (well I don't know who he is!), she's never seen drum sticks move so fast - and if I heard "his hands are a blur" one more time that evening................. , she's even waiting for the CD to be released!

Reminds me of the saying: 'It's mine and I'll wash it as fast as I like!'

Got my copy the other day and its brilliant.

Would have to say that my favourite is possibly Victory from the Cry of the Celts... guess that actually having gone to MFM means that when you listen to the CD you can picture who and what was going on on the stage as well. Well done guys!

(Ps Mum upset that she can't see that drummer behind his plastic screen on the CD - bless her!")
