Loon in plaster

Chalky C may be able to give the full unabridged version of this Dit for the forumites to enjoy.

I remember sitting in the Coffee Boat at HMS Caledonia, with Chalky regailing stories of daring do and hillarity. Bammy and Norman would join in as only they could.

This must have been from the FOF3 days in late the 1980's. Basically The LOON had fallen off a gang plank whilst loading a ship somewhere and was in hospital for some weeks, he was eventually released in plaster.........run ashore ensued and Loon got p?@:{}d. Fell out of the night club and was picked up by the bouncer.....who said.......to the lads with him.....sorry lads I didn't realise you had a cripple with you!

Now then, if we are talking about Looneys skydive from the gangway of the Fearless in Algiers in 1984 the damage wasn't bad enough to keep him in hospital for very long, a few days rather than weeks. Chalky would have got the chinese whispers version as Keith Pacy was Bass of FOF3 at the time. How do I know? - I was BM at the time and Looney was only trying to outdo me for falling back into the landing craft dock after a night in Dhekelia Sgts Mess. It was a good job we'd both had a few or we might have damaged ourselves a little more than we did. For further info see Blue Band Xmas edition 1984.
