Keith 'Shippy' Shipman

Dear Sir,
It is with regret that I have to report the death of Keith on 4th April 2008.
‘Shippy’ (tenor sax/violin) served in the RM Band Service for 16 years and saw service on HMS Victorious, HMS Terror and HMS Pembroke until 1970. He then went on to serve another 10 years in the Staff Band, Corps of Engineers in Chatham.
On completion of his service career ‘Shippy’ spent his civilian life working for a security company as an HGV driver.
‘Shippy’ retired at 61 years of age to carry on with his hobby of gardening – at which he was very professional.
Always smartly dressed and a fine musician ‘Shippy’ will be sadly missed.
Our thoughts are with his wife Jennifer, and son Justin.
RIP

Ex RMB 3664
