Between 1939 and 1945, the following members of the Royal Marines Band Service died while on active service.

Died in captivity
Bandmaster V.H Vidler.
Band Corporal J.T. Buckle.
Musicians S.A. Banse, F. Harris and D.H. Wilkin.

Killed in air raids
Band Boy A.C. Gates.
Musicians A.E. Booker, A.H. Browne and W.A. Perry.

Died on active service
Bandmasters A.C. Black and G.C Palmer.
Band Corporal M.R. Gardner.
Band Boy P.G.R. Daniel
Musicians B.J. Mason, W.C. Neale, D.R. Tyler, H.N. Lancashire, S.K. Parnell, S.A. Marsden, S.R. Perkins, T.P. Jemmett, J. Goodfellow, R. Senior and J.H. Cragg.
