Horse guards - Drum Major - WPC Horse rider

When, which one and what was actually said?
I've never been told this from the horses mouth (Yes! The pun was played for and he scored!!) so which one of you can remember the details?

Not sure ,but..........

Slightly disappointingly I can actually vouch for the following conversation as I heard it myself. The disappointing bit is that it was between an RAF Central Band Trombonist called 'Adge' Greenhalgh and the apocryphal WPC on a horse.(obviously after I had re-enlisted in the RAF) It was on the embankment just before we set off for the second half of the Lord Mayor's Show in November 1984.
Adge "your horse is all sweaty"
WPC " So would you be if you'd just spent an hour between my thighs" !
Adge wasn't often lost for words , but she was attractive , and it was quite a thought..........
Adge was also responsible for another one. They used to have what they called the RAF Police Dog Trials at RAF Newton near Nottingham (its gone all tri-service now) It was open to the public and quite a popular 'do'. We had finished our bit and were just in the process of leaving , with the coach parked outside the Guard-room. For some reason Adge was sat in the drivers seat when a late arriving civvy drove up......and I heard the following.
Civvy " Am I in timefor the Dog Trials ?"
Adge "No mate , you've missed it "
Civvy "Missed it ?"
Adge "Yeah , they found 'em all guilty !"
It would seem the RMB hasn't quite cornered the market on one-liners ! Mind you , there were overall something like 20 exRMBs in the RAF (and 4 out of 30 , better then 10%, in the College Band at Cranwell ) when I got there , so I guess we taught them a thing or two.

Geoof,
thanks for that. It would seem that one of ours, pinched one of your's one liners!
I was told by a source that it was possibly Dennis Challis... he may have herd the one your Adge said and copied it or it could be the other way round. Either way... it is priceless!
As for the dog trials, what did the poor things do? I hope it wasn't what them horses were doing at Badminton
