Drakey,
I'll PM you a phone number to ring and you will be in the hands of the band service recruiting SNCO. Give him your number and he'll call you back straight away.

Ok, Many thanks !

Ian will look after you and guide you through the entire process. If you want some bits from me PM me your postal address and I'll send you a magazine and recruiting card. If you hand the recruiting card into the careers office the first time you go, I get a bonus! How good is that, I'd be the first person I know to get a bonus

You'd be able to come over and buy us Nelson girlies a drink then!

The best place to start is by calling Ian. To get an IDEA of the process check these links first... they are about the audition process:
http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/actionmusic/firstnotes-ie4.htm
http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/actionmusic/introduction-ie4.htm

then you can follow a troop through training to see what they actually did in their training:
http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/pages/DiaryIndex.htm
Troops 2000, 2001 and 2005 will show you what they did, when they did it in their own words and are mostly unchanged.

Once you have absorbed that try a bit of history:
http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/history/historyIndex.htm

Followed by a bit about people who are serving, the bands and a bit of backgrond information:
http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/reference/index.htm Click the links in the left hand edge of the page

When you have read all the troop reports, you'll know if it is the job for you.
