Dave Varlow

Hi from anyone who remembers me providing I don't owe money!

It will be good to hear from you.
I was about from 1953 joining in Deal and issued with the number we never forget...X3291 and a set of drums!!!!
Barham House. Good times ....can't remember any bad times. Who can?
I spent most of my service in Deal and married a local lass...Lynne.
Spent some time with the Staff Band, done a couple of trips then, the 'ship hit the fan' and I was posted to HMS Tiger, first commission.
A great experience for a lad still 'wet behind the ears' where I made some good friends. I hear that one of them, Keith Whittle, is not too well at present and I'd like to find out how I can contact him?
After leaving the Band Service I joined another job and was issued with a new number. PC 4066. I was lucky enough to join Kent County Constabulary where I enjoyed many years retiring about 15 years ago.
I have managed to keep in contact with a few old mates such as Sid Sheard, Mick Hickman. Johnny Buberle, Bob Brown, Ken Schooley, Roger Hammond, Dave Page,Brian Clemments and Ken Rollings at the RMA Club Deal.

I look forward 'to swinging the lamp' a bit? Keep breathin'

All the best, Dave  and Lynne .....  Sunny Folkestone.

Welcome Dave!

I remember Sid Sheard from my time in Training. He worked in the bedding store in K block. He always wore a brown overall coat.
