got my interview

Hi, I've finally got my interview at the beginning of next month and I've also got my medical. Can anyone tell me what the medical involves for girls?

RAB

..Can't be sure Vic, but I should imagine it's something to do with being examined by a doctor..????

ASK DELI..!!!!!!.....

Oh...and best of luck with both appointments...

Thanks people. That advance was very handy lol.

Well I thought I'd better put my piccy as my avatar because a few people have mistaken me for a man!!

It won't involve the cough and drop!

From what I remember it is Eyes, Ears, Nose, count of limbs and a long chat about your family medical history and any problems you have had. WE had to do some sit ups to show we could and a few press ups. ONe of the Collingwood Volunteer band are in the medical gag, I'll PM them and ask for their input.

have been asked to give professional opinion... i say yes to ice and slice!! No other profession oops sorry!! Not exactly sure what medical would entail as just a mere civvy surgeon. However can't imagine it's too bad, blood pressure, basic examination, nothing too personal!! History of everything though and family in particular, probs a few random blood tests, and some phys. Try PM'ing musicmad as shes' been through it with the army recently... marines wouldn't have her... more fool them if you ask me!! I'll see her at the weekend too so will ask her then if you've not heard!

sorry not to be more help, just not my specialist field, do a great line in tummy tucks and skin cancers tho!! ZED XXXX

PS good luck!!!!

Thanks Zed... I knew the cough and drop wouldn't apply and that is about it for my medical knowledge apart from direct pressure and if they scream it could be hurting them!
Pass the scalpel... it may smart a bit if you do that though

erm, yes, sorry about that Vicky

I'm pretty sure you won't have any phys at the medical. You'll do a hearing test, blood pressure, pee in a pot, weight, height, medical history and some other bits that I'm not sure about as they might be different for the girls.

All the best with it all!

Good Luck - you know you can do it -

What!! From here?

Ahhh the old ones are ...

pretty crap really.

Best o' luck Vic - you got two arms? two legs? Should be OK then.

This next bit is true:

I went for my medical to join the po lice and he got me to stand with both eyes closed and on one leg ...

I fell over.

Apparently most people do, but open their eyes before hitting the floor - nahhh joking about that last part, but I did start to topple.

I had everything riding on the job and asked if I had failed because I couldn't stand up straight on one leg and with my eyes closed?

The doc just grinned at me and said I was the first person ever to ask him and told me that it wasn't part of the test and he only did it for fun!!!

b'stard.
