Drum Corp & Bugle practice music & careers aquaintan

Hi all,

Just wondering if the Band Service provides sheet music for Drums & Bugle. My son who currently plays in the RMVCC Band (drum & bugle), is finding it difficult in getting some practice music. Can anymore help?

Furthermore, does anyone know of the "Careers Aquaintance Visits" that are held by the Band Service? I would like to enrol my Son on one of these. Im not getting much further with the phone numbers I have been given.

Thanks muchly x Michaela Steel

How old is your son? Have you heard about the Royal Navy Volunteer bands? We have a fair bit of sheet music etc and have access to it. Look up the display name 'Pompey Rich', drop him a Private Message. He heads up the corps of Drums at HMS Nelson, he might be able to help you out a bit more.

Hi Beemer.. I strongly advise you to ignore the last post ( no not THE last post) but if you want to know anything about the REAL RMB's, then ask ADMIN.. or as we know him DELI...

Unfortunately he is presently engaged in promoting the REAL RMB's Worldwide in the most REAL famous Hall in the most FAMOUS City in Europe (apparently).......

What on Earth would a full time P.O part time V.B know about the

Thanks for your replies. My son is 14. He currently plays with The RMVCC @ HMS Nelson. I will send Pompey Rich a PM. Any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kay x

The Vol Band can give him a chance to get a bit more playing in, but as RAB said, Chat to Admin as well cos he'll give you the low down on the Royal Marines Bands and any info on that.
