Thanks lads - it's been hard work and a lot of sacrifice, but worth it in the long run.
There's been some heartache along the way when she wasn't too keen on my methods, but she came through in the end...
It's a good job some women listen don't ya think?

Tonight it's our turn in the Royal Albert Hall, hope you lot left it in good order! 
Tonight's the last night of the National School Prom and the night that Tara receives her award.
Go Tara!!!!!!

I'll look forward to the write-up on the web tomorrow, I have Classic FM blasting from my computer all day at work, it relieves the stress of having to deal with students.

UK's Top Music Teachers Honoured
Following our month long search for the nation's favourite music teachers, the winners were honoured at the 10th annual Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year Awards.
The competition, which is run in association with Yamaha and Sibelius, seeks to recognise and reward those teachers who have made a real difference to the musical life of their school or community. As ever the response was tremendous and we would like to say a big thank you for all your nominations.
This year, the three-day Music for Youth Schools Proms at the Royal Albert Hall provided the backdrop for the award presentaions, which for the first time included four new categories.
As well as celebrating the work of primary and secondary school music teachers, the Classic FM Music Teacher of the Year Awards 2008 also seeked to recognise the work of peripatetic music teachers, those who work with children with special education needs and newly qualified music teachers. And for those who have made music teaching their life’s work, this year’s competition included an award for Lifetime Achievement.
On Monday 10th November - the first night of the Schools Proms, new Parliamentary Undersecretary of State for Schools and Learners Sarah McCarthy-Fry presented the Newly Qualified Music Teacher of the Year Award to Hannah Powell of Crown Woods School in Eltham and the Lifetime Achievement Award to Tom Rainbow of Malorees Junior School in London.
On Tuesday night, Ed Balls, the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families presented the awards for Special Education Needs Music Teacher of the Year and Peripatetic Music Teacher of the Year to Kirstie Byrne of Marjorie McClure School in Kent and Dan Jones of Tees Valley Music Service.
Finally on Wednesday night, Andy Burnham, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport presented the Secondary School Music Teacher of the Year Award to Tara Thorn of Painsley Catholic College in Stoke and the Primary School Music Teacher of the Year Award to Frances McMillan of Hamilton Primary School in High Wycombe.
'Music truly has the power to transform lives' said Classic FM Managing Director and member of the judging panel, Darren Henley, 'and it is due to the enthusiasm and talent of these six winners and thousands more like them that our children are discovering music and creating memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.'
The six winning teachers will each receive thousands of pounds worth of musical equipment from Yamaha and Sibelius for their school or music centre.
