Another gone to the Great Massed Band in the SkyReceived an E mail from Dave Varlow yesterday saying that Chick Hitchcock(French Horn) has passed on. Reason not known apparantly he was in the RMA looking as fit as a fiddle and then he was gone. I knew Chick for many years he was always a happy go lucky guy always ready for a laugh, We shared a room together on the first States tour in 1965 and boy did we have some fun. Rest in peace my old friend you will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to his dear wife Barbara and the rest of his family and friends in and out of the RMB.

Sorry to hear of the death of Chick Hitchcock first met him on 1965 states trip where he was opposite ends of the height level from Benny Goodman one of the other horn players..always cheerful.....farewell chick

Saw Chick only a few weeks ago....
He loved the fact that he was in the same horn section as Frank Lloyd!

Sorry to hear of Mick (Chick) Hitchcock,s passing. It was sudden. I,ve known Chick for a long time and his bubbly nature will be extremely missed,My condolences to his wife Barbara and family. RIP mate.

I only read today in the East Kent Mercury of Chicks death. We served together in the early 70's with Col. Neville.
