Ancient Song

I was in the Corp way back in the seventies and stationed at Deal. The Massed Bands were there one summer to practise for some big do and they played an absolutely fantastic version of "Popcorn", originally by Hot Butter. Anyone got any idea if the bands ever recorded it and where may I find it. I have never heard them play it since.............what a disapointment

Thank you so very much for your reply, I shall now start the hunt to find the LP. C0-incidentaly I was discussing this very subject in my local Conservative Club the very day I posted the message, and someone told me that when PopCorn was played on the Tropping The Colour it was the very first ever pop song to be played at such a ceremony...............he told me it was true and I have no reason to disbelieve him

re Popcorn

Cinque Port Music might be worth a try for the record you are looking for.

They specialise in RM Band records.
