Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in a boat all day drinking beer. |

Had many a good PU at the USMC birthdays around the country and made a couple of good friends that I'm still in touch with.
Happy Birhday Marine

In 1975, Stonehouse Buglers went to AFSOUTH in Naples. to play at the USMC Birthday Ball.
On that occasion, we did not dine with our hosts but were sat in a side room next to the function room.
As we were getting stuck into our Clam Chowder, a very senior USMC SNCO came over to our table and very proudly said ""200 years a", or something similar.
Pedlar stopped consuming his chowder, like an orphan would, straight from the bowl and without raising his head said " The furst free hundrerd years are the wurst".
You should have seen the look on the face of the Bugle Major. _________________ Once a Bugler, always a Turtle !!

Well all I can say is that the price of drink then must have been astronomical!!!! _________________ Wine is meant to be drunk............I am drunk.............Therefore am I wine??
