By Eric: A Reunion of Ex RMBs will be held in roughly 29 weeks time at the Glenelg Motel, Tapleys Hill Rd. Glenelg, Adelaide, South Australia. Actually it's on the last weekend of March 2010. Now I've booked my room and have just enough time to wash the car so it's all nice and clean when I rush backwards to and from to  pick up all those people who 'may' join me and who 'I hope' will tell me what flight they are going to be on. I hope that I'm not the only one there, could be embarrasing eating all that lovely grub.

Thanks Deli, any chance that we may see you and yours at our table on the Buffalo in Adelaide or even here in Bendigo, as the offer of holiday accommodation is still open.

Absolutely right Deli. You (as you know) only have to look at the number of 'views' and 'replies' beside each post to confirm this.

Considering there are 887 registered users only a small percentage post or comment regularly though.

Like Eric, many of the members don't know me - but they may not have heard of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley or Muhammad Ali either - but I'm famous enough for Townsergeant to speak to me (occasionally)!

There doesn't appear to be many members from my era but there are many youngsters like the afore mentioned Townsergeant or a few Golden Oldies like Mr Bass Trombone.

Ginge I remember you very well, even if I was more a water polo coach than a Solo Cornet, yes I could play it a little bit, those in Scotland put up with me for two years, I sat between Nick davies and Jock Lyle.

Always did envy your ability in the water Charlie.
I knew Nick (from Sowerby Bridge?) very well but don't recall Jock Lyle.

Jock Lyle I believe lives Ibiza, my swimming was from before I joined in 52, but I was Tuba player in the Liverpool Phil before joining, but unfortunately I me Mr Ough, and proceeded to tell me I couldn't play a cello, yet the professor said I could, played with Mr Boardman believe it or not in Liverpool. I enjoyed my swimming days and now coaching Channel swimming, getting ready for next year with two solo's and a relay from London to Paris.

For those ex-serving down under who want to see the Corps doing what it does best, Scotland Band will be in Sydney in January/February for the Edinburgh Tattoo down under.
