Greetings, just a quick note about myself. I am the grand-son of Wilfred James Thompson, a RM Bandmaster who moved to Bermuda with the family in 1930. I am also the greatgrand-son of Edwin John Holman, also a RM Bandmaster who settled with his family in Bermuda prior to 1899. Both of these gentlemen were also accountants working in the Royal Dockyards in Bermuda, with a bell in the dockyard parade ground dedicated to Edwin Holman for his services.

Presently I have begun to do family history for my family and as can be suspected, records are very difficult to find for anyone that far in the past. I am hoping to gleem some of what life was like for these men and to honor them properly for the generations to come.

Thank you for your time.

Welcome Daniel,
You'll find the historical text here: http://www.royalmarinesbands.co.uk/history/historyIndex.htm
We may have some that look old but they really are not that old
If you need any specific help please PM me and I'll point you in the direction that should be able to help. All of our old historical records are held at either Kew Gardens or the Royal Navy Museum at Yeovilton.
