Just heard that Norman (Jock) Marshallsey has been in the wars and has a fractured arm.

Get well soon mate. Just have to use the other arm for scooping.

What's soup of the day ??

Get well soon Norman. Hope it's not your lager lifting arm.

By the way Norman, do you hold the record for the shortest draft period, between two bands?

Normski, if the arm is bad you'll have to type one handed when relpying... you should be ok but won't be able to drink at the same time.Let us know how you are fella

Just spoken to the big fella and he's in agony I'm afraid.  He says the biggest problem is having to settle for drinking with one hand at a time. He described his accident as a triple forward  roll in the pike position, which went wrong when he smelt a passing pint and took his eye off the procedure.

Now the important part....

Fortunately he only shattered 72 floor tiles, and the pool area is open for business as usual.

Where is he just now..???  AT WORK..!!!!!!!

Get some down ya mate...

left arm still working,so down to one drink at a time.  bonus is fractures are to high up arm to plaster and arm is to swollen to operate on. have to hope it will heal itself in approx 7 weeks.i think the nurse was an x matelot, he only gave me 2 days worth of pain killers   , as for shortest draft. joined commando forces band on the tue, and then pompi on the wed.

Was a very short stay. Went into Stonehoue buglers grot.every one there except Norman. Thought he was adrift, after a good run ashore down Union Strazza. I thought buglers were winding me up when they said he'd had a draft to Pompey.

Apparently Drafty sent him to wrong band. Didn't even stay long enough to get some coffee boat money off him.
