I have consulted my lawyers, and have 8mm film evidence of the said incident (C/O Mick Rocks then Girlyfriend), it was found that the Drum Major of the day (Dave Buchanan) had that week attended the John Satchwell school of stick swinging and haircut inspecting.

This incident was no fault of mine, because I had my mind on other things at the time!!! to my left (right after a countermarch) a young scottish lady had just sat down on the grass and the breeze (light that it may have been) blew her 1970's flowery original pastel coloured frock up, and being a gentleman, I felt it my duty to take a look and ensure that she did not embarrass herself in front of what was then the letchiest band in the County of Scotlandshire. On doing so my mind was so cuffuffled that I had this vision of stocking and suspenders in my mind, and so my thoughts were distracted!! As you can understand, this was not then my fault!! at the time the band was going thru a transitional period, what with Geordie Rowell carrying out an inspection of RAF detention Cells and Pinto Robinson entering into the Olympic Fish Supper chucking competition, and all the while our driver "Wee Shooie" was wandering where his clutch had gone!

If you have any queries regarding this incident you must go thru my Solicitors Messrs Coming and Duff. I rest my case......Incidentely I miss Lanimer days

Lucy...very poor defence mate...After your prematurely instigated countermarch - come reel, you of all people wouldn't have known your left from right,(not that you were ever sure anyway). I saw what you thought was a Girlie's skirt blowing, but it was in fact an old grandad in a kilt..(my blinkin' grandad) .

Rennie's coach drivers deserve a whole thread to themselves..
I don't suppose you could be the Aardvark Roy???? (same nose and shape)

I only ever remember two Rennies drivers, (not counting Band Members who drove the coach that is. Jinxy and Wurzel) they being Jock Bath and Maurice. Two characters that made long journeys fun...

Jock's original partner in crime was an old guy called George Turcan..They were honorary members of FOSNI Band and knew more about setting up percussion instruments than most band members.

They were also the 2 "Duty Drivers" that eventful night at Sealand....
