Just found this on Dickie Valentine's site:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can anyone help, my brother Alan Thomson was a Royal Marine Bandsman who servered on the Ark Royal, dont know much more. Sadly he passed away last thursday April 30th April.
We would like to find out more of his time in service.
You can contact me on ee.flynn@hotmail.com
Sadly i dont know his service number, but I do know he recorded an LP with the rest of the band in Deal in 1970 which we have given to his wife. He played the clarinet.
Sorry I cant give any more info, can i just thank you in advance for any help received
thanks Eileen Flynn _________________ Waving, not drowning |

There was a Thomson AC in the Wing at the same time as me. A ginger haired lad who played clarinet. I'll have a dig into my small collection of pics I'm sure I have a couple of him..

I think that's Butch Holland Mac. Dave Lambert had just left the Wing by that time.

Yes Bob, some old stalwarts there.. I'll post this picture in a more appropriate thread and see how many names we come up with, just as a mark of respect to Allan.. _________________ 'Never moon a werewolf'. |
